Dr. Michael Cox
Program Manager
Bio:
Dr. Cox joined DARPA as a program manager in October 2008. His interests lie primarily in cognitive systems, with an emphasis on intelligent agents, learning, mixed-initiative planning and collaboration.
Prior to joining DARPA, Dr. Cox was with BBN Technologies, Information and Knowledge Technologies Business Unit, Intelligent Computing Group, Cambridge, MA. From 1998-2004 Dr. Cox was an Assistant Professor and Director of the Collaboration and Cognition Laboratory (COLAB2), Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Wright State University, Dayton, OH. Dr. Cox was also a postdoctoral fellow in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh.
Dr. Cox received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta GA.
