Mission:

The Affordable Adaptive Conformal Electronic-scanning-array Radar (AACER) will provide a new real-time tactical surveillance capability directly to the Army Unit of Action Commander by detecting and tracking moving surface targets including dismounts over large areas at high update rates, and providing all weather radar images with unprecedented resolution. The AACER system will weigh only 110 pounds, making it suitable for low cost unmanned helicopters such as A-160. The AACER system operates in the Ka-band providing for wide bandwidths which allow the agile beam array to be used for wideband communication as well as radar.
