Affordable Adaptive Conformal ESA Radar (AACER)

Approach:
The program is developing advanced technology in a small (0.5' x 2') Ka-band ESA. When complete for a demonstration, the radar will provide GMTI and dismount detection at high area coverage rates, and high resolution spot and strip-map SAR that can be interleaved with the GMTI coverage. GMTI and SAR target location errors (TLE) will be of targeting quality. The combination of platform and radar characteristics will provide for persistent surveillance, and the manufacturing techniques being developed will provide a radar/comm. system at an unprecedented low cost.
