High Productivity Computing Systems (HPCS)

Program Manager: Dr. Charles Holland (TCTO)

Assessment:

HPCS assesses the progress of its contractors by a spectrum of benchmarks that provide measurements of different aspects of the system's utility for users. HPC Challenge benchmarks expose the spatial and temporal boundaries of the system and set bounds on its performance. Application benchmarks expose system issues and set performance bounds on legacy codes. Kernel and compact applications provide data for deeper analyses of execution times and development times. Productivity benchmarks measure improvements in time-to-solution for critical DoD problem areas.
