Mr. Robert GlazeAssitant Director, Program Management
Mr. Robert M. Glaze has been with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency since September 1978. He has served as Program Management Officer for a variety of major DARPA Technical Offices, including: Strategic Technology, Directed Energy, Nuclear Monitoring, and Naval Technology. His present position, Assistant Director for Program Management of the Microsystems Technology Office, entails the oversight of all program planning, budgeting, and execution; responsibility for preparation of program/budget documentation for the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Congress; development and coordination of acquisition strategies; direction of procurement and funding actions; contractor source selection; monitoring and control of contractor cost and schedule performance; and office compliance with security, internal management controls, and other DoD/DARPA administrative and management requirements.
Mr. Glaze served as Business and Financial Manager for the Navy Airborne Reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare Project Office in the Naval Electronic Systems Command from 1975 to 1978. He was on active duty with the Air Force as an AFROTC Instructor at Allegheny College, Pennsylvania from 1974 to 1975 and was the Acquisition Logistics Officer with United States Air Force Electronic Systems Division at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA from 1972 to 1974. From 1967 to 1971, Mr. Glaze was a Minute Man Missile Crew Commander, stationed at Whiteman Air Force Base, MO.
Mr. Glaze holds a B.A. in Political Science from Southern Methodist University and an M.B.A. from the University of Missouri - Columbia. He retired as a Colonel in the Air Force Reserve serving as Mobilization Assistant to the Director Logistics Plans and Concepts Division at HQ USAF in the Pentagon.
