Defense Against Cyber Attacks on Mobile Ad Hoc Network Systems

Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANETS) will underpin Network Centric Warfare (NCW). As MANETS are fielded, terrorists and enemy nation-states are likely to employ cyber attacks to impede our ability to operate. The DCAMANETS program will research, design, and prototype technologies to automatically detect cyber attacks and reconfigure MANETS to ensure mission success. This technology is intended to augment existing security systems and therefore adds another dimension to the strategy of defense-in-depth. Three DCAMANETS performers are currently developing hardware and software technologies designed to meet specific Go/No-Go Criteria for Phase I.
