Description

Fifteen days after publication of this notice, the Strategic Technology Office (STO) of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) intends to issue a request for proposal to Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). SAIC is the only known source in the case of a follow-on requirement with the in-depth knowledge and experience with the Individual Force Protection System (IFPS), formerly known as the Rescue Transponder System developed under contract HR0011-04-C-0049. DARPA requires research, development and technical services to complete development of the IFPS system and provide initial prototype quantities to the United States Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory for field experiments and operational assessment. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.) Unless otherwise stated herein, no additional written information is available. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government.

GENERAL INFORMATION: There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the effort mentioned above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract.
